José Luis Rivero Plasencia, artistic director of Auditorio de Tenerife, will be appointed a full academician of the Royal Canarian Academy of Fine Arts of San Miguel Arcángel's Music section on December 10.

José Luis Rivero Plasencia, the artistic director of Auditorio de Tenerife, will be appointed a full academician of the Royal Canarian Academy of Fine Arts of San Miguel Arcángel (RACBA). He will join the Music section. The official ceremony will take place next Wednesday, December 10, at 6:00 PM, at the performing arts venue in Tenerife's capital.

During the ceremony, which is supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, Rivero will deliver a speech titled "Politics of the Symbolic: Culture as Democratic Infrastructure and Guarantee of Rights." Academician Conrado Álvarez Fariña will then give a laudatio, a speech of praise.

José Luis Rivero stated, "I receive my appointment as an academician of the Royal Canarian Academy of Fine Arts with deep humility, honor, and gratitude." He emphasized that this distinction means "an even greater commitment to defending, promoting, and strengthening culture and the arts in our territory. It also means helping the artistic creations of the Canary Islands project their voice to the world while continuing to honor their roots."
