The industrial sector in the Canary Islands is reaching a turning point thanks to a new partnership between the Association of Metal Construction Industries of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Asicomte), part of Femete, and the consulting firm Innovaris, S.L.U. This agreement aims to help local companies strengthen their operations to keep up with increasing regulations and the urgent need for digital transformation.
For the Tenerife metal industry, technical skill is no longer enough to ensure long-term success. Many small and medium-sized businesses struggle to navigate complex European sustainability rules, mandatory non-financial reporting, and CE marking requirements on their own. By partnering, Asicomte and Innovaris will provide these companies with easier access to professional audits, standardized management systems, and digital tools.
The agreement also offers a practical financial benefit: companies associated with Asicomte will receive a 10% discount on Innovaris’ services. This initiative is designed to make organizational improvements more affordable, helping local businesses meet energy efficiency and safety standards while improving their chances of securing public funding. Both organizations have created a plan to help companies identify and apply for municipal, regional, and European grants to fund modernization projects that might otherwise be too expensive.
Beyond consulting, the partnership includes a continuous training program. Through workshops and customized sessions, the goal is to boost the competitiveness of this vital sector.
