Asaari Bibang performs her thought-provoking and humorous monologue "Humor negra," exploring racism and Afro-feminism, at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife tonight.

CajaCanarias Foundation's Cultural Autumn 2025 continues today, Thursday, with Asaari Bibang's performance of her monologue, "Humor negra" (8:00 p.m.).

"Humor negra" is a thought-provoking and funny monologue that tackles racism and Afro-feminism. Equatoguinean artist, writer, and activist Asaari Bibang uses humor to openly discuss what it's like to be a Black, migrant woman in Spain.

Bibang's performance challenges the audience to confront common prejudices and stereotypes, while sharing her own personal journey of self-discovery.

This engaging show explores topics like the "white savior" complex, the importance of seeing Black people represented in media, the idea of the "token" Black person, interracial relationships, and the oversexualization of Black women.
