In Tenerife, a man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to rape an 80-year-old neighbor, who had previously been convicted of sexual offenses against elderly women.
A man in his 40s has been arrested in La Laguna on suspicion of attempting to rape an elderly woman. The incident occurred a few weeks ago at a house in the Taco area. It is said that this is not the first similar incident involving him.
The man knocked on the woman's door, greeted her, and asked for a glass of water. He then began to behave too intrusively with the 80-year-old woman. She sensed that something was wrong and noticed that he was very nervous.
Fortunately, the woman managed to leave the house and avoid the worst.
She contacted the La Laguna police. The case was transferred to the Family and Juvenile Affairs Unit (UFAM). The woman identified her attacker as a neighbor from Taco.
The man was arrested and brought to court.
It turned out that the detainee already had at least five convictions for sexual assault on elderly women. He had even been in Tenerife II prison for crimes against sexual freedom.
