Spanish police have arrested one suspect following a violent stabbing in the tourist hub of Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, which has reignited concerns regarding public safety in the area.

National Police have arrested one person following the incident, which occurred near the Verónicas shopping centers in Playa de las Américas around 3:30 p.m. A man of sub-Saharan origin was wounded during the altercation, which reportedly involved two other men of Latin American and Maghrebi backgrounds.
The suspect was taken into custody and moved to the Southern Police Station. He is expected to appear in court in the coming days.
