An Arona City Council technician filed an HR complaint against two PSOE council members, accusing them of intimidation and threatening legal action over files during an unauthorized office visit.

An Arona City Council technician has filed a complaint with Human Resources. He claims that two council members from the PSOE party, Raquel García and Frank Tolle, came into his office and had an "intimidating" conversation with him while he was doing his job.

The technician stated that the council members entered a technical department without permission. They gave a reason that later turned out to be false, and they did not follow the official procedures for council members to request information.

He said that once they were in his office, the council members asked questions in a "threatening" way. They "literally implied that certain files would end up in court," but they didn't explain why or point to any specific wrongdoing.

The technician stressed that all reports from his department strictly follow current laws and technical standards. He believes the council members' comments were an attempt to unfairly pressure him in his work.

Council members do have a right to information, but local government laws state that they must follow official procedures. This means making written, reasoned requests and not disrupting the daily work of administrative departments.

The technician himself formally submitted the written complaint, stating he felt harassed by the council members.

Following this incident, and to prevent similar problems, the mayor has sent a memo to all staff, according to internal sources. The memo reminds everyone about the rules for council members accessing information and the official steps that must be followed to ensure services run smoothly and technical staff are protected.
