Arona Revives 'La Lechera' Mural and Municipal Sculptures
Arona City Council has revitalized the neglected mural 'La Lechera' and restored municipal sculptures, bringing hidden artworks back into public view to celebrate the town's cultural heritage.
The Arona City Council's Culture and Historical Heritage departments have brought the mural 'La Lechera' back to life. This artwork had been neglected and hidden away from the public. Now, the mural, which is in Cabo Blanco, is once again a part of Arona's art scene. This helps protect the town's artistic history and makes the area richer culturally.
This effort shows the City Council's ongoing commitment to safeguarding and promoting the cultural treasures of the municipality. It's about making art accessible to everyone and bringing back important parts of our shared past.
Beyond the mural, the Culture department has also rescued and restored several municipal sculptures that were previously stored away. These pieces have been fixed up and are now on display in various cultural centers across Arona, so everyone in the town can appreciate them.
Councilor Naím Yanez Alonso praised the project, stating that it's the first time a thorough effort has been made to recover municipal artworks that weren't being used, returning them to the people they were always meant for.
These initiatives are part of a larger plan by the Culture and Historical Heritage department to celebrate the local art and history of all Arona's residents. Through projects like these, Arona is building a more inclusive and lasting cultural future that honors its heritage.
