Arona police officers successfully assisted in the roadside delivery of a baby in Cabo Blanco on March 10 before coordinating with medical services to transport the mother and newborn to the hospital.

Arona police officers in Cabo Blanco proved the value of first aid training on March 10, when their quick actions helped deliver a baby on the street.

The incident occurred on Avenida San Martín de Porres, where officers realized a woman was in active labor and needed immediate help. According to the Asipal-csla Arona group, the officers quickly secured the area and guided medical staff from the local health center to the scene. This coordination ensured the mother received professional care right where she was.

The birth was successful and without complications. Afterward, the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) transported the mother and her newborn by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital for routine follow-up care.

The police department praised the officers for their effective response, noting that their training allowed them to manage a high-pressure situation and keep both patients safe until medical professionals could take over.
