Tender worth 13 million euros in Arona canceled due to errors in documents
The tender in Arona for the maintenance of municipal buildings and roads, worth over 13 million euros, was canceled due to errors in the documents, prompting criticism from the opposition regarding the authorities' negligence.
In Arona, a tender has been canceled again due to errors in the documents. This time, it concerns the maintenance of buildings and roads in the city, for which more than 13 million euros were to be spent.
The error was noticed even before the tender was officially announced. The city hall says that they will fix everything now and put it up for auction again.
The opposition group Más por Arona criticized the authorities (PP, CC, and Vox) for such "negligence." Their representative, Luis García, recalled that a similar situation had already occurred with the tender for the maintenance of parks and gardens, and even with the city budget.
"These are no longer accidental errors," he says. "They are simply in a hurry and do not pay attention to details." The opposition also claims that the documents contained "inflated prices," did not clearly state what the money would be spent on, and lacked information on working conditions. "We warned them, but they didn't listen to us," García added.
