Arona Celebrates €70,000 ONCE Lottery Win in Cabo Blanco
Two winning ONCE lottery tickets sold in the Tenerife town of Cabo Blanco have awarded a total of 70,000 euros to local residents.
Luck has struck the Tenerife municipality of Arona once again, continuing the tradition of ONCE lottery wins providing a welcome boost to the local economy. Following the draw on Wednesday, June 3, the town of Cabo Blanco celebrated a total prize payout of 70,000 euros.
This windfall came from two winning tickets, each worth 35,000 euros for matching all five digits of the winning number. The tickets were sold by Iván Hernández Bethencourt, a local sales agent who typically works from his kiosk at 16 La Trujilla Street.
The ONCE Daily Coupon is designed to spread winnings among as many people as possible. While the top prize of 500,000 euros requires matching both the number and the series, the 35,000-euro prize won in Arona is the second-highest tier available.
The lottery also offers smaller prizes: 250 euros for matching the first or last four digits, 25 euros for the first or last three, 6 euros for the last two, and a 2-euro refund for matching the final digit. This structure is intended to distribute winnings widely, allowing smaller cash prizes to reach a large number of players across the country.
