Concerns about safety on public transport have increased in Tenerife due to recent clashes between passengers and an attack on a bus driver.

The last few weeks have been turbulent on public transport in Tenerife. There have been several unpleasant incidents, and people are talking about safety on buses again. In particular, two clashes that occurred in different cities in the south of the island are being discussed. They showed that there are problems with how people behave in public places, how rules are followed, and whether there is enough control.

One of the latest incidents occurred last Friday, September 5, in the town of Los Cristianos, near Arona. A video has appeared online showing two women trying to board a bus without queuing. This happened on line 112, which runs between Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the popular tourist destination of Los Cristianos. This is one of the busiest routes. The video shows the women arguing with other passengers right on the steps of the bus. The quarrel was so serious that it came to a shoving match.

Passengers reacted immediately. Many began to reproach the women for not following the boarding rules and for disturbing others. The situation was very unpleasant, but fortunately, thanks to other passengers, things did not escalate into something worse.

This clash occurred after another serious incident that occurred a few days earlier, on August 23, in the city of Candelaria, in Plaza de Teror. There, a passenger attacked a bus driver after he asked him to leave.

According to the Los Jardineros Facebook page, it all started when the driver asked the man to get off the bus because of his aggressive behavior. The man was insulting and pushing other passengers. He refused to leave and began to behave even more aggressively, then attacked the driver and stole his badge.
