Arafo Police Find Missing Teen Hours After Report
A 14-year-old girl reported missing by her parents was found unharmed by police in Arafo just hours after her disappearance.
Police in Arafo found a 14-year-old girl yesterday afternoon, just hours after she was reported missing.
The girl, who lives in Candelaria, had been with her parents. After a family argument, she left and her parents couldn't find her.
Concerned, her parents went to the Güímar Civil Guard station and reported her missing at noon.
Arafo police began searching for her. Just before 2:30 PM, officers noticed something unusual behind some rubbish bins in the Golpa residential area. This spot was very close to the border with Güímar, on the TF-28 main road.
When the girl saw the police, she ran, but they quickly caught her.
After talking to her calmly, they convinced her to come with them. She was unharmed.
Police then called her parents to the scene, who came to pick her up. The officers were able to resolve the situation quickly before it escalated.
