Titsa buses carried more than 51,000 passengers during the Tenerife holidays.
In Tenerife, the company Titsa transported more than 51,000 passengers by bus to mass celebrations, demonstrating the growing popularity of public transport.
The bus is a great way to get to big holidays and events where many people gather.
The Titsa transport company on the island of Tenerife transported more than 51,000 passengers to major celebrations last weekend. This includes the festival of the Virgin Mary of Candelaria, the La Pamela festival, and the Romeria in Garachico.
These figures show that public transport, especially buses, is becoming increasingly popular for traveling to mass events.
For example, on August 14-15, almost 28,000 people used buses No. 122, 120, 121 and 522 to attend the celebration of the Virgin Mary of Candelaria, the patron saint of the Canary Islands. This is 11% more than last year and 13,000 more than on a normal summer weekend.
On Friday, August 15, more than 10,000 people traveled by buses No. 050, 051 and 057 to the La Pamela festival in Tejina. This is almost the same as last year, and 5,500 more than on a normal holiday in the summer.
And more than 13,000 people came to the Romeria in Garachico by bus number 363. This is 10,000 more than on a normal summer holiday.
Titsa thanks passengers for their awareness and cooperation, as well as its employees for ensuring safe transportation to these events.
As every year, the company has increased the number of buses on routes connecting major cities with festival venues.
Routes to Candelaria (No. 120, 121 and 122) were especially strengthened, and an additional route No. 522 from La Laguna was launched.
Also, more buses ran to the La Pamela festival in Tejina (routes No. 050, 051 and 057) and to the Romeria de San Roque in Garachico (route No. 363, which connects Puerto de la Cruz and Buenavista).
