Ancor Miranda Trio to Perform at Santa Cruz Lavaderos Music Fest
The Ancor Miranda Trio will perform a free contemporary jazz concert this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. as part of the Lavaderos Music Fest at the Los Lavaderos Art Gallery in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The Los Lavaderos Art Gallery, located near the Hotel Mencey, continues to be a key hub for culture in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This Thursday at 8:30 p.m., the gallery will host the latest installment of the Lavaderos Music Fest, an event supported by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council’s Culture and Centro-Ifara District departments.
Admission is free until the venue reaches capacity. This week’s performance will feature contemporary jazz by the Ancor Miranda Trio, consisting of drummer and composer Ancor Miranda, tenor saxophonist Cameron Rivero, and double bassist Ruimán Martín.
The trio’s performance will focus on original compositions that blend traditional jazz roots with modern trends. By prioritizing improvisation and experimental sounds, the group highlights the value of intimate venues in supporting the local jazz scene. Hosting events like this not only adds variety to the city's leisure options but also provides a vital space for Canarian musicians to share their work directly with the public, helping original local projects to grow and thrive.
