Cuban violin legend Alfredo de la Fe is set to headline the 26th Troveros de Asieta Christmas Festival with performances in Tenerife and La Palma.

The 26th Troveros de Asieta Christmas Festival is excited to announce a major star in Latin music this year: Cuban violinist Alfredo de la Fe. Throughout his long career, de la Fe has performed with music legends such as Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, Cheo Feliciano, Héctor Lavoe, Santana, Rubén Blades, and Willie Colón. He will join the festival for both scheduled events: on December 26th at 8:00 PM at the Leal Theater in La Laguna, Tenerife, and on December 27th at 8:00 PM in the Plaza de Santo Domingo in Santa Cruz de La Palma.

Troveros de Asieta first performed in La Palma's capital on December 29, 1991, and has since held an annual Christmas concert. In 2000, these Christmas shows grew into a festival, featuring guest artists and expanding their reach from La Palma to Tenerife.

Over its 34-year career, Troveros de Asieta has performed across the Canary Islands, the Iberian Peninsula, and internationally. So far, the group has released nine albums: Tradicional (1994), Vamos a hacerlo bueno (1997), Siempre sonriendo (2001), Bailando con Lecuona (2004), Aquí en la isla (2008), Troveros de Asieta, 20 Años (2011), El son tiene duende (2014), Querida Cuba (2017), and Influencias del Latin Jazz (2020).

Troveros de Asieta currently includes: Francis Concepción (vocals and guitar), Pedro Brito (Cuban cuatro and vocals), Fran Martín Ciani (vocals and minor percussion), José Humberto Martín (trumpet and backing vocals), Carlos Perdomo (baby bass), David Platero (percussion), Alberto Martín (piano), Óscar Herrera (trumpet), Jhony Olivares (percussion), and Alejandro Suárez (trombone).

The group is recognized as one of the top Cuban music ensembles in Spain and Europe. They have also collaborated widely with notable artists from the Canary Islands and beyond. In 2012, Troveros de Asieta received the Cubadisco International Award.
