Al Di Meola Sells Out Santa Cruz Concert
Guitar virtuoso Al Di Meola, a pioneer of jazz fusion, will perform tonight in Santa Cruz de Tenerife as part of the CajaCanarias 2025 Cultural Autumn, with tickets for the sold-out show having been snapped up in July.
American guitarist Al Di Meola, widely regarded as one of today's finest musicians, will perform tonight, Thursday, as part of the CajaCanarias 2025 Cultural Autumn. Tickets for the concert, which sold out back in July, are for the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the show starting at 8:00 PM.
Born in New Jersey in 1954, Al Di Meola is a master of both electric and acoustic guitar. He is also a leading figure in jazz fusion, blending rock and what's known as world music, driven by his passion for musical traditions beyond the Western sphere.
Over his forty-year career, Di Meola has been celebrated for his exceptional rhythm, striking melodies, and complex harmonies. This has earned him global acclaim from both fans and critics, along with many awards and sales of over six million albums.
