Air France is increasing its direct flights between Paris and Tenerife South Airport from December 11th to January 10th, adding over 3,000 seats to meet growing demand from French travelers during the holiday season.

Air France is boosting its flights to Tenerife for the Christmas holidays. They'll be offering more direct flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tenerife South Airport.

From December 11th to January 10th, Air France will run four flights a week. This means an extra 3,224 seats will be available across 18 flights.

This route is usually only available in the summer, but Air France is extending it for the holidays because Tenerife is becoming more popular and there's a high demand for direct flights from France.

Tenerife's Vice President and Tourism Minister, Lope Afonso, welcomed the news. He said it shows how strong Tenerife is as a destination and that airlines trust the island. He believes the extra seats will help bring in more tourists during the busy holiday period and strengthen Tenerife's position in the important French market.

Dimple Melwani, CEO of Turismo de Tenerife, agreed, stating that this commitment highlights the growing interest from French travelers. She also noted it's a result of working together with airlines to make it easier for people to fly to Tenerife.

The number of French visitors to Tenerife is on the rise. Between January and September this year, 313,034 tourists from France visited Tenerife, which is a 7.6% increase from the same period last year.

This makes France the fourth largest market for Tenerife, after the UK, Spain, and Germany. Air France's increased flights during Christmas should help continue this positive trend and attract visitors from even more countries.
