The Association of Cinematographic Informers of Spain (AICE) is launching new awards to honor rising talent and industry equity at the upcoming "Lo Que Viene" festival in Tenerife.

The Association of Cinematographic Informers of Spain (AICE), the organization behind the Feroz Awards, is launching new honors to spotlight rising talent in the film industry. These awards will debut at the seventh edition of the "Lo Que Viene" festival, taking place in Tenerife from June 1 to 4.

The inaugural recipients are actors Carla Quílez and Iván Pellicer, alongside the association Dones Visuals. This selection reflects AICE’s goal to celebrate the next generation of performers while recognizing groups working toward industry equity. The award for Dones Visuals specifically highlights their ongoing efforts to promote gender equality in the audiovisual sector, a priority that has become increasingly central to the industry.

The awards will be presented on June 1 to kick off the festival. That same day, Quílez and Pellicer will participate in a public discussion at the TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, where they will talk about the current state of the industry and the future for emerging professionals. Attendance is free, though registration is required via the festival’s website.

Supported by the Cabildo de Tenerife, the Ministry of Culture, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, the festival aims to move beyond traditional formats. It serves as a space for the press and industry professionals to exchange ideas and preview upcoming productions. By hosting events at the La Recova Art Center and the TEA, the festival continues to establish the island as a key hub for analyzing upcoming film and television trends.

AICE president Alicia García de Francisco noted that these awards are part of a larger effort to revitalize the industry, which also includes the launch of the "Lo Que Viene-Feroz Series Laboratory." Through these initiatives, the association aims to support the development of new projects and strengthen its role in the Spanish film community.
