Singer Agoney mistakenly addressed his Malaga audience as "Murcia" during a recent show, a slip-up that sparked humor from the crowd and warm support from fans online.

Singer Agoney, from Tenerife, had a memorable night last weekend. It would have been perfect, except that during his show in Malaga, "his greatest fear" actually happened.

He shared this on his X (formerly Twitter) account, also apologizing to the audience. Agoney, who is set to finish his Dicotomía Tour next year, was opening for Mónica Naranjo in the Andalusian city.

The two singers first met on the 2017 season of Operación Triunfo, where Mónica was a judge and Agoney was a contestant. Agoney's unique and powerful voice impressed Mónica Naranjo, who even then said she'd be open to working with him. Their friendship and professional bond are still strong today, with Agoney having joined Mónica on her Greatest Hits Tour.

It was during one of these performances that adrenaline got the better of Agoney. "Good evening, Murcia!" he called out to get the crowd excited. He quickly realized his mistake and corrected it, laughing: "Malaga!"

The audience found it hilarious right away, even laughing during the most intense part of the song. On social media, after Agoney's post, fans responded with nothing but warmth and affection.

"In Malaga, we take everything with humor," one follower wrote, who had also filmed the slip-up. Another added, "Long live Murcia and long live Malaga!"

Some fans even used Agoney's funny mistake as a chance to ask him to perform in Murcia too. And it turns out he will: Murcia is already on the Tenerife singer's tour schedule for 2026.

Seville, Bilbao, Barcelona, and Madrid are the other confirmed cities for this second leg of the tour, running from March to June next year. Agoney is preparing a completely new show, with fresh staging and music that will be a big step up from his last tour. However, he'll keep the core elements of his live shows: intimacy, intensity, sensuality, and emotion.

This follows a successful 2025, where he performed across various Spanish cities, building his reputation with powerful, emotional, and carefully crafted live shows.

He also traveled across the Atlantic to perform in Mexico and Argentina, countries where he has had a strong connection for years. There, he reconnected with devoted fans who welcomed him enthusiastically and filled every venue, highlighting the strong international ties that fuel his career.
