Aemet Forecasts Unsettled Weather and High-Altitude Winds for Canary Islands
The Canary Islands will experience unsettled weather with light showers and stable temperatures this Wednesday, while Aemet has issued a warning for strong wind gusts in the central peaks of Tenerife.
The Canary Islands will experience unsettled weather this Wednesday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). The forecast suggests a transitional day, with cloudy skies in coastal and low-lying areas expected to clear by the afternoon, particularly across the western islands.
In Tenerife, the weather will vary significantly by location. While higher altitudes will see clear skies, other parts of the island should expect light, scattered showers. Similar light rain is expected in the other western islands, while the eastern islands will see morning drizzle give way to clear, stable weather for the rest of the day.
Temperatures will remain steady, staying within the same range as recent days. In Tenerife, temperatures will fluctuate between 20°C and 28°C, with only a slight dip in the minimum values.
Winds will generally be light to moderate, blowing from the north or northeast across most of the archipelago. However, Aemet has issued a warning for the central peaks of Tenerife, where strong southwesterly gusts are expected. Visitors and residents in these high-altitude areas should exercise caution, as these winds can cause sudden changes in visibility and temperature.
