AEMET Forecast: Trade Winds and Rising Temperatures Expected in Canary Islands Sunday

The Canary Islands will see steady trade winds this Sunday, August 30, 2026, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). While the weather remains generally stable, the islands' varied landscape will create different conditions depending on the location and altitude.

Expect a clear divide between the north and south. Northern areas will be cloudier, with a small chance of light, scattered rain, while the south will enjoy clearer skies. Sailors should be aware that sea conditions will be rough to very rough, with winds reaching force 4 to 6 and a northerly swell of one to two meters.
