In Adeje, an old building in the city center will be renovated to create a useful space for people. This was announced by the municipality.
In just a month, work will begin on restoring the former workshop where tomatoes were once packed. It is located on Piedra Redonda Street, and at the beginning of the last century, it was a hive of activity. Now, the building will become a modern community center.
The total cost is planned to be almost 300,000 euros, and the work will take about five months.
In total, more than 230 square meters of space will be renovated. The building will have two floors: one above ground and the other a semi-basement with access to Sindicato Street.
In the future, it will be able to host meetings, lectures, conferences, various events, and exhibitions. The space will be easily adaptable to different needs, and the exhibition can even be extended to the courtyard.
Convenience for everyone has also been taken care of: there will be ramps, special toilets, and everything necessary for people with disabilities.
In terms of ecology, the building will have an energy efficiency class of D.
The project is designed for 50 years of service. For this purpose, a solid foundation, wooden structures, a ventilated roof, and high-quality thermal and sound insulation will be used. Everything is done to ensure that the building is reliable and comfortable.
