Adeje to Host Second Annual Chicken Fair on June 13
The town of Adeje in southern Tenerife will host its second annual Chicken Fair on June 13, featuring local culinary specialties, live music, and family entertainment to promote regional businesses.
Boosting local business in southern Tenerife is back on the agenda with the second annual Chicken Fair in Adeje, scheduled for June 13. Organized by the local council’s Economic Development and Employment Service, the event is a collaboration between the municipality, local business owners, and the island’s commerce department as part of the "Adeje Empresarial" program.
The fair aims to do more than just showcase food; it is designed to encourage local shopping and celebrate the area’s unique culinary identity. To host the event, the streets between Calle Grande and Plaza de España will be transformed into a lively social hub, open from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
The menu will highlight local poultry, featuring dishes from some of the area’s most historic establishments. Notable participants include the Otelo restaurant and Bar España, a local landmark founded in 1930, famous for its traditional chicken and tomato soup. Guests can also enjoy wine from the Abona region and a variety of artisanal pastries.
To make the fair a family-friendly destination for the south of the island, organizers have also planned a full schedule of live music and children’s entertainment.
