
Adeje's IV Mujeres World Fest to Showcase Female Talent, Honor Antonia San Juan
The IV Mujeres World Fest will celebrate diverse female talent in arts, including music, comedy, and film, from December 1st to 7th at the Adeje Auditorium, honoring Antonia San Juan with a special award.
The IV Mujeres World Fest is set to begin next week at the Adeje Auditorium, running from Monday, December 1st to Sunday, December 7th. This festival shines a spotlight on female talent across the arts.
This year's lineup includes Omayra Cazorla, Sole Giménez, Alma la Forte, Amagoia Eizaguirre, Anabel Vélez, MAM Canarias, and Carrera por la Vida-Walk for Life. Actress and comedian Antonia San Juan will also receive this year's V Mujeres World Fest Award.

The festival offers a diverse program, featuring cinema, photography, literature, humor, and music, all with a focus on women's perspectives and contributions.
The festival opens on Monday at 7:00 PM with a screening of La infiltrada (2024), a film by Arantxa Echevarría that has won two Goya Awards.
From December 2nd to 7th, don't miss the Bold exhibition by photographer Caroline Sikkenk. This exhibition is a collaboration with the Carrera por la Vida-Walk for Life Foundation, a charity that supports patients and families affected by breast cancer.
On Tuesday at 7:00 PM, Mujeres Acompañando a Mujeres (MAM) will lead a laughter therapy workshop.
Wednesday at 7:00 PM features a book club discussion about Patti Smith's novel Éramos unos niños. Feminist writer Anabel Vélez, known for books like Rockeras de la A la Z and Superheroínas, will lead the discussion.
Psychologist Amagoia Eizaguirre takes the stage on Thursday at 7:00 PM with her new show, De los hábitos a la constancia. This unique performance blends humor, emotion, and learning. Eizaguirre describes it as "not a talk, a workshop, or a conference," but "a show designed to make you laugh, feel, reflect, and give you the definitive push to transform your life."
As mentioned, actress and comedian Antonia San Juan will be honored with the festival's special award. A member of her team will accept the award, which is a sculpture by Canarian artist Isabel Delgado and a symbol of the festival.
On Friday at 8:00 PM, Gran Canarian comedian Omayra Cazorla will perform her show Así somos.
Singer Sole Giménez will give a concert on Saturday at 8:00 PM as part of her 40 años de celebración tour. She will perform her greatest hits, taking the audience on a journey through various musical styles, from pop to bossa nova, including the songs that launched her career.
The festival concludes on Sunday at 8:00 PM with comedian Alma la Forte's show, Estoy como nunca. In this performance, she explores the lifestyles of women at different ages: 20, 30, and 40.
