On Tenerife, two motorcycle police officers rescued a 77-year-old woman with Alzheimer's disease who was walking along the TF-1 Southern Highway.

On Tuesday, September 23, an unusual event occurred in Tenerife. In the morning, a 77-year-old woman with Alzheimer's disease was spotted on the Southern Highway (TF-1). She was walking along the road, unaware of her location.

Two brave motorcyclists from the traffic police risked their lives to save her. They carried the woman off the road, preventing a possible collision or serious accident.

It all happened near the town of Tabayba, at the 10th kilometer of the highway towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The rescue operation was complicated by heavy traffic, rush hour, and poor visibility. The situation was dangerous for both the woman and other drivers.

Around six in the morning, the 1-1-2 emergency service received a report of a pedestrian on the TF-1 highway near the town of El Rosario.

Two motorcycle police officers quickly arrived at the scene and saw the woman walking in the right lane, almost reaching the left lane.

In addition, she was on a bend, which made the situation even more risky.

The police officers skillfully braked and stopped their motorcycles near the roadside. They stood between the cars and the elderly woman, risking their own lives.

After calming her down, the police officers picked up the woman and carried her to a safe place.

Law enforcement officers found out that she had Alzheimer's disease and that she had left the nursing home at night.

An ambulance arrived at the scene and took the woman to a safe place for assistance.

Employees of the boarding house where she lives also arrived and took her into their care.
