In Tenerife, a man was arrested for seriously injuring a 25-year-old woman with a knife in Arico, allegedly due to domestic violence.
On Wednesday afternoon, in the southeast of the island of Tenerife, a man attacked a woman with a knife. It happened in a house in the town of Arico, and the woman was seriously injured.
According to our sources, after the attack, the man fled the house, but he was quickly caught by police officers and the Civil Guard.
Investigators are currently determining whether this was a case of domestic violence.
The attack took place in a house in the La Jaca area, on the coast of Arico.
The police were called to the scene, in the La Jaca-Oeste area.
There they found a woman with numerous wounds, which were immediately deemed serious.
Paramedics provided her with first aid and took her to the Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria Hospital. The injured woman is 25 years old.
The detained man is 26 years old, and he is local, from the Canary Islands. This was reported to us by sources.
