On Tenerife, a tram passenger kicked a smoking phone out onto the street, preventing a possible fire.

On Thursday, September 25, an unpleasant incident occurred on a tram in Tenerife: a passenger dropped his phone and it started to smoke.

One of the passengers did not panic. As soon as the doors opened, he kicked the phone out onto the street to avoid trouble on the tram.

Of course, while the phone was smoking in the carriage, the passengers were a little nervous.

The video on the Instagram account @tenerifequejas shows people at the bus stop moving away from the smoking phone in fear. They wanted to protect themselves and provide space for ventilation in case the phone exploded.

It is worth remembering that the smoke from such devices is toxic. This usually means that the lithium battery has failed and is releasing harmful substances.

Usually, when a phone smokes, it is due to problems in the lithium-ion battery (e.g. impact, defect, overheating or damage). The smoke appears before the fire and is already dangerous, as it can cause poisoning or fire.
