On Saturday, rescuers in a helicopter picked up a 24-year-old girl who was injured in the Anaga mountains, near the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. She was hiking the Afur-Taborna trail when the accident happened.
According to the 112 service, the incident occurred around one o'clock in the afternoon. The girl fell and could not continue walking.
She was diagnosed with a moderate leg injury.
The helicopter took the victim to the port in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. There, medics were waiting for her and took the girl to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
