In Tenerife, a former couple was arrested after a fight in front of a child: the man is suspected of domestic violence, and the woman is suspected of inflicting bodily harm.

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, police arrested a 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman on suspicion of fighting. The man is accused of domestic violence, and the woman is accused of inflicting bodily harm on a family member.

On Wednesday, around noon, the police received a call from Antracita Street in the Ofra district. Neighbors reported possible violence between former partners who have a child together.

It is said that everything happened in front of their son. The father brought the child to the mother after the vacation. A quarrel arose between them, allegedly provoked by the woman. She was unhappy that the man did not allow his new girlfriend to see their son.

According to the police, when the father bent down to kiss the child goodbye, the woman punched him in the face. He developed a bruise under his eye, which was confirmed by a doctor's certificate. The man responded by giving her "two slaps," but according to doctors, the woman showed no visible injuries.

The police arrived at the call from neighbors. The man was detained on the spot as a suspect in violence. He told the police what happened. The woman was found nearby, on the Avenida Príncipes de España, and was also detained.

Both were taken to the hospital, where they were given assistance and their injuries were recorded. Now they are awaiting a court decision.
