In Santa Cruz, local authorities fined a construction company 5,000 euros. The reason was the illegal dumping of construction waste in the El Sobradillo area. The company violated the city's waste management and cleaning regulations.
Last year, residents complained to the police that someone was dumping garbage on the site. When the police arrived, people said that it was allegedly materials for a bonfire for Ivan Kupala, and the truck that brought them broke down, and the driver went to get a mechanic.
But among the garbage were pallets, building materials, drywall and plastic. Therefore, the police drew up a report on a serious violation - "abandonment of property". This carries a fine of 5,000 euros.
The utility services say that if the company admits its guilt, the fine may be reduced by 20%, and it will amount to 4,000 euros. And if the company immediately agrees to pay the fine, it will be reduced by another 20%, and then it will be necessary to pay 3,000 euros.
