A 79-year-old man was rescued from drowning off the coast of Adeje, Tenerife.
In southern Tenerife, a 79-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after a near-fatal drowning incident at Troya Beach in Adeje.
On Wednesday afternoon, a 79-year-old man nearly drowned in the south of Tenerife. He was seriously injured.
According to the rescue service, the incident occurred after 4:30 p.m. near the town of Adeje.
The rescue service received a call reporting that an elderly man who was drowning had been pulled from the water at Troya Beach (Costa Adeje).
Lifeguards on duty at the beach pulled the man from the water and provided first aid.
An ambulance, paramedics, and local police were called to the scene.
Due to the man's serious condition, doctors decided to take him to Hospiten Sur hospital.
