The 41st Canary Islands Handicraft Fair will take place at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Exhibition Center from December 5th to 8th. This major event will bring together 140 artisans from all the islands, showcasing the archipelago's traditions, creativity, and cultural heritage across 12,000 square meters. Entry is free for all four days.

This year's fair will celebrate traditional Canarian clothing, with many activities focused on this theme. Visitors can also buy handmade items, join workshops and master classes, enjoy family-friendly activities, and watch live craft demonstrations.

The fair aims to let visitors truly experience craftsmanship up close. To achieve this, there will be a wide variety of workshops and master classes. You can learn skills like pattern making, ruching techniques, or how to create a 'sandunga' (a traditional doll/figure). There will also be classes on how to correctly wear traditional costumes and place accessories.

Another special focus of the fair will be the Canarian rosette, a traditional craft recently recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Workshops will last two hours and are limited to 10 participants each, ensuring personalized attention. Children can enjoy coloring and cut-out activities designed to introduce them to traditional clothing. The fair will also feature musical performances and dedicated areas for rest and dining, offering local products.

The fair is organized by Artesanía de Tenerife, the Sectoral Council for Traditional Attire, and the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and Self-Employed Workers, with support from the Island Council. Their main goal is to protect traditional craftsmanship, help artisans grow professionally, and increase the visibility of their work.
