14th Anaga Solidarity Trail Supports Padre Laraña Foundation
The 14th Anaga Solidarity Trail, a 16km non-competitive mountain race, will take place this Saturday, December 27, in the Anaga massif Biosphere Reserve to benefit the Padre Laraña Foundation and gather toys for vulnerable children.
This Saturday, December 27, the Santa Cruz Sostenible Foundation, along with the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council's Sports Department, is holding the 14th Anaga Solidarity Trail. This non-competitive mountain race involves climbing and descending Pico del Inglés, starting and finishing in Valleseco. The route is about 16 kilometers long.
The event's launch included Santa Cruz Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez, Sports Councilor Alicia Cebrián, the Foundation's manager Diego Broock, and Ana María Parache, president of the Padre Laraña Foundation. The Padre Laraña Foundation is a charity that provides full support to children and families facing social exclusion. All registration fees from the trail will go directly to this foundation.
The Anaga Solidarity Trail takes place on paths and trails within the Anaga massif Biosphere Reserve, located very close to the city. This gives participants the chance to experience stunning natural beauty and incredible views. Holding the event on the last weekend of the year adds to its festive, community-focused, and charitable spirit. It's now a well-established fixture on the city's sports calendar.
A maximum of 500 spots are available for this year's race. Following tradition, participants and anyone else who wishes can donate a toy. These toys will be given to local associations to distribute to children in vulnerable situations. The race begins at 9:00 AM from the Tenerife Insular Center for Marine Sports (Cidemat) in Valleseco. Registered participants can pick up their race bibs starting an hour before, at 8:00 AM.
