11-Minute Power Cut Hits Santa Cruz de Tenerife
An 11-minute power cut affected over 8,000 customers in parts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife Wednesday morning due to a substation fault, with a separate scheduled outage impacting 250 in Tacoronte.
A brief power cut affected parts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for about 11 minutes on Wednesday morning. The outage, caused by a fault at the Dique del Este substation, impacted over 8,000 customers in areas like San Andrés and El Toscal, according to local residents who informed the DIARIO DE AVISOS newspaper. Power company Endesa confirmed the incident, adding that the issue was resolved as quickly as possible.
Separately, around 250 customers in the municipality of Tacoronte also experienced a power interruption. This was due to scheduled maintenance work.
